Grants

Grants help make Building Minds in South Sudan successful. The generosity of our grantors — government, philanthropic institutions and other sources __ focuses on making meaningful changes in South Sudan. Below is a list of grants that BMISS has received. Please reach out if you are interested in offering a grant.

  • Grant funding from Kingsley and Laima Beck to support the Laima Microfinance Project grant which promotes small mostly women-led businesses.

  • Grant funding from Kingsley and Laima Beck to support the Community Garden Project.

  • Bill Cook Foundation matching grant to fund high school construction, grant to pay salary of female principal of girls primary school and annual teacher training, two high school teachers’ salaries.

  • Presbytery of the Genesee mission grant for six sponsorships for high school students, grant for solar lamps for boys, grant for benches for girls school and for solar lamps for girls.

  • Corning Rotary grant for sanitary supplies. Naples Rotary grant for benches for Ajong Primary School.

  • Hope for South Sudan grant to hire assistant principal for girls school.

  • St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Rochester, NY latrines for the girls’ school and Outreach Ministry Grant.

  • Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church (USA) grant to assist in the construction of the girls’ primary school.
